History

Arts University Bournemouth has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1880 as a Government School of Art. Throughout the years, the university has undergone various changes and rebranding, expanding its departments and courses. In 2008, it achieved the significant milestone of gaining the authority to award taught degrees. Finally, with the approval of the Privy Council, Arts University Bournemouth fulfilled all the requirements to be recognized as a university and officially adopted its current name.

It is related to the university’s course programs, poetry, writing, and music.     Accommodation

    Accommodations at Arts University Bournemouth include four different options. These are apartments and houses that are not part of the university and are located all throughout the city. Students with impairments or who reside outside of the city are given preferential seating in the hallways.

    The beautiful Bournemouth city has many interesting places to visit, and its transportation system is well accessible. From any of the housings, cycleways are perfect for students to reach the Arts University Bournemouth Campus. The university also offers a bus service called UNIBUS for students.
