On September 22, eight countries will move from the red list to the amber list while traveling to the UK.
The international travel to England will change from the red, amber, and green traffic light system to a single red list of countries and simplified travel measures for arrivals from the rest of the world from 4 am to 4th October 2021.
Red List Rules for International Travelers in the UK
You need to follow some rules if you’re from a red list of countries
You must take the Covid 19 test 72 hours (03 days) before entering England
You need to book a quarantine hotel package including two Covid-19 tests
You need to complete a passenger locator form
After arriving in England you need to stay in the managed quarantine place for 10 days.
Amber List Rules
Before going to England you have to
You need to be fully vaccinated (The UK government recognises only Pfizer & BioNTech, Mordana, AstraZeneca vaccines)
Take the Covid-19 test 72 hours (3 days) before entering England
You need to book and pay for the Covid-19 test in the UK as you have to go through the test again
You need to complete a passenger locator form
If you’re not fully vaccinated you need to stay in quarantine for 10 days
You need to go for Covid-19 test twice (2nd and 8th day) in those 10 days.
After arriving you need to test for Covid-19 on or before day 2
There are countries whose Covid-19 situation has improved a lot. As a result, the UK government has decided to shift those countries from the Red List to the Amber List. The new Amber list (from 4 am, 22 September 2021) countries will be
